University of Economics

The University of Economics, Prague (VSE) also called Prague School of Economics, is an economics and business-oriented public university located in Prague, Czech Republic. It is the largest university in the field of economics, business and information technology in the Czech Republic, with almost 20,000 students across its bachelor, masters and doctoral programmes. In 2010, The Financial Times ranked VŠE #73 among business schools, the second highest ranked business school of the Post-Communist countries in Europe. At the Eduniversal awards in 2008, VŠE was named “1st Business School in Eastern Europe”, and in the top 27 business schools in the world.

Charles University

Charles University, known also as Charles University in Prague historically as the University of Prague (Latin: Universitas Pragensis), is the oldest and largest university in the Czech Republic. Founded in 1348, it was the first university in Central Europe. It is one of the oldest universities in Europe in continuous operation and ranks in the upper 1.5 percent of the world’s best universities. Today, the university consists of 17 faculties located in Prague, and Pilsen. Its academic publishing house is Karolinum Press. The university also operates several museums and two botanical gardens.

Masaryk University

Masaryk University is the second largest university in the Czech Republic, a member of the Compostela Group and the Utrecht Network. Founded in 1919 in Brno as the second Czech university, it now consists of nine faculties and 35,115 students. The university is a highly research-intensive institution. It puts “a great deal of emphasis on international cooperation with prestigious foreign universities and `{`other`}` research institutions”. The university has maintained its position within the world best 600 universities for years 2016-2018. Amongst all universities in the EU-countries joined the EU since 2004, Masaryk University was ranked at 7.

Czech Technical University

Czech Technical University in Prague is one of the largest universities in the Czech Republic and is one of the oldest institutes of technology in Central Europe. It is also the oldest non-military technical university in Europe and the best technical university in the Czech Republic. CTU has international agreements with 484 foreign universities. Many of them are ranked in the first hundred in QS World University Ranking such as National University of Singapore, Nayang Technological University, Purude University, Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Technical University of Munich, Delft University of Technology or KU Leuven.

Czech University of Life Sciences

Czech University of Life Sciences Prague is a university of agricultural education and research in Prague, the Czech Republic, established in 1906. The university offers bachelor’s programmes and Master’s programmes (based on credit system) and doctoral programmes. The university offer now includes total of 40 programmes taught in English, approximately 15 of which are in the bachelor level and 25 in the master’s level of studies.

Brno University of Technology

Brno University of Technology is a university located in Brno, Czech Republic. Being founded in 1899 and initially offering a single course in civil engineering, it grew to become a major Czech university with over 24,000 students enrolled at 8 faculties and 2 university institutes. The aim of the institute is teaching forensic experts in master’s degree programs – Venture engineering and Forensic engineering (expert engineering in transportation and real estate). It is possible to study The Forensic engineering program as a doctoral study. In preparation is the transformation of the institute to the separate department faculty with the temporary name the Faculty of Forensic Engineering.

Skoda Auto University

The Škoda Auto University is a private university located in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic. Škoda Auto University was founded in 2000 and to date is the first and the only company-owned university in the Czech Republic. It was established by automobile manufacturer Škoda Auto. It provides Bachelor and Master studies as full-time or part-time study. Škoda Auto University has been involved into the European Union project Erasmus since 2005. More than one thousand students’ study at Škoda Auto University at the present time.

Vysoka Skola Logistiky

College of Logistics is a private technical college of non-university type, offering – as the only college in the Czech Republic – the first two levels of tertiary education (Bc., Ing.) in the unique study programme Logistics. The main objective of the study programme Logistics is to train a professional for specific fields in logistics of transport, services, tourism, aviation, and information management. Further aim is to offer to applicants from various logistic systems areas (forwarders, providers) and other businesses the possibility to acquire the first cycle tertiary education in the bachelor study programmes Logistics of Transport, Logistics of Services, Logistics of Tourism, Logistics of Air Transport and Information Management- considering the fact that there is no other similar study programme available in the Czech Republic.

University of New York

The University of New York in Prague is a private higher education institution in Prague, Czech Republic. It was established in 1998 in cooperation with the State University of New York at New Paltz and Empire State College, both part of the State University of New York. UNYP offers accredited Bachelor’s degrees, Master’s programs, MBA programs, and PhD programs in English, in partnership with universities in the United States and across Europe. Almost 60% of faculty members hold doctoral degrees, including the chair of one of the university’s five departments. These doctorates are most frequently from Charles University or the Prague University of Economics.

It has been a private higher education institution with the accredited study programmes of International Territorial Studies and Economy and Management in Transport and Communications since 2000. The University College of Business (VSO) is a member of distinguished European organizations active in the fields of tourism, air transport and education, and is a partner of a number of European universities. University of Commerce in Prague, ops since 2000 is a private higher education institution with areas of education Economics and Transport. For seventeen years of its existence, VŠO has achieved a significant position among non-university higher education institutions in the Czech Republic and currently is studying at VŠO more than 2 500 students.
